Grab the Day

It's another stormy, dismal day here in #ATX… one of the wettest winters on record. This outside chick is sick of being a wet wreckage wherever she meanders. Evidently, Punxsutawney Phil, all the more recognizably known Mr. Groundhog, doesn't concur. He is anticipating six more weeks of winter. Looking on the brilliant side, my mom would state, "this too might pass."

WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT SEASON

Seasons come and seasons go, every one realizing something new and diverse. Shockingly anyway, we can frequently feel stuck. Our outsides may mirror a sun-sparkling day, however internally we might surrender. Forlorn. Perplexed. On edge. Discouraged. The Enemy would love for us to remain in this ineffectual place… not able to have any kind of effect… unequipped for encountering Christ.

"Try not to squander your time on futile work, insignificant busywork, the desolate quest for obscurity. Uncover these things for the sham they are." Ephesians 5:11 (The Message)

In some cases it is useful to stop and take supply of what is happening in our lives. Back off, and mirror a bit. Begin putting forth some imperative inquiries, similar to "What is God doing in my life? He should accomplish something." Possibly in our quest for thinking about God, we have passed up a great opportunity for really knowing God. Give me a chance to rethink that a bit… we may invest a considerable measure of energy going to chapel, remembering Scripture, serving the congregation and filling our heard with information. In any case, it is conceivable in the majority of our doing, regardless we pass up a great opportunity for an unmistakable association with God. All things considered, isn't this the correct scrape of the Pharisees and Sadducees? The more they thought about God, in all actuality, the less they knew.

In our interest to know Jesus, our own Lord and Savior, how about we uncover the dull and concealed things. Things we take comfort in other than God. Things that we cover and stow away. Things which get to be character connections. Things that take brilliance from God. It is about time we uncover these things for the sham they truly are.

"It's an outrage when individuals squander their lives on things they should do in the dimness where nobody will see. Rip the cover off those cheats and perceive how alluring they look in the light of Christ." Ephesians 5:12 (The Message)
Grab the Day

Perhaps you wind up in a place where you don't see your very own dull spots. How regularly in glancing back at my waywardness am I stirred to my own stuck spots. Stubborness. Childishness. Egotism. Pride. Control. Immense impediments obstructing, preventing my capacity to see God for who He truly is. Some of the time we erect dividers from inside which keep us far from God. For instance, on the off chance that I put stock in a contracted God, I will supplicate without confidence (on the off chance that I even ask by any means). On the off chance that I put stock in an inaccessible, coldblooded God, I will point the finger at Him for my appalling conditions and troubles. In the event that I have faith in a frail God, I will take matters into my own particular hands.

At the point when individuals contract God, they implore without confidence, adore without amazement, serve without delight, endure without trust, and the outcome is an existence of stagnation and dread, lost vision, a powerlessness to drive forward and see it through. — John Ortberg

In the event that we need to see God for who He truly is… we should invest energy in His Word, as well as start to trust it!
